Hi my name is Ffion, I’m married to Richard and when he isn’t busy farming in the stunning Mid Wales countryside he’s busy being my van loader! During the first lockdown in 2020 and nearing the end of my second pregnancy, I was finding it impossible to find ways to entertain my energetic, stir crazy, three year old son Macsen.
Rather than spend more money on toys that didn’t help to burn off his pent up energy, I decided to invest in some portable, commercial soft play products with a view to hiring them out once my baby had arrived. Surely there were other parents in a similar position to me? My daughter Mali was born and so too was Malimacs Events!
We’re all about family and making Malimacs (have you figured out how I came up with the name yet?) a successful business is our goal.
Once the newborn days were over, I decided to expand the business by providing more themes, equipment and props. My experience of organising various fundraisers, events for family and friends and parties enabled the business to grow and flourish. We added Silent Disco packages, Indoor play tent parties, balloon installations, bell tent hire, a very satisfying way to fulfil my creativity!
My understanding of working under pressure, problem solving and working to tight deadlines (plus dealing with my young children!) were all transferrable skills from my previous jobs. It can be stressful at times but I thrive on it! I do that part so that you can relax and enjoy your day. Creating the perfect backdrops, entertainment and atmosphere for your special Event is my passion.
